In principle, Japanese labor laws and regulations shall be applied to all employees including overseas people working in Japan.
The typical laws are ,The Labor Standards Act, The Minimum Wages Law, The Industrial Safety and Health Law, The Workmen's Accident Compensation Insurance Law, The Employment Security Law.
These laws and regulations shall be equally applied to foreigners.
The Labor Standards Act stipulates that employer shall not engage in discriminatory treatment with respect to wages, working hours or other working conditions by reason of nationality or other status of any worker. (Article 3, Labor Standards Act)
